OUR MISSION
Enabling and empowering women who have been the victims of domestic and family abuse to reclaim their lives and reach their full potential.
On Friday 28 November 2025, as part of the 16 Days of Activism, we’re inviting the Eastern Suburbs community to come together for Red Flag Day, a powerful day of action in support of domestic abuse victim survivors.
The red flag is a symbol used to raise awareness of potentially dangerous or manipulative behaviour and to highlight the often hidden signs of domestic abuse, including physical, emotional and financial control.
The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is a global campaign that runs annually from 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to 10 December (Human Rights Day).
This year’s theme, “Stopping Family and Domestic Violence: Play Your Part”, calls on all of us to take meaningful action. Red Flag Day is your chance to do just that.
Enabling and empowering women who have been the victims of domestic and family abuse to reclaim their lives and reach their full potential.
Lokahi’s vision is that our caseworkers are the gold standard with regards to the support offered to victim-survivors of domestic and family abuse. We want to support the families that we work with to not only live free from abuse, but to move forward and live the lives they deserve, knowing they have a caseworker they can rely on whenever they may need us.
We aim to provide victim-survivors of domestic and family abuse with on-the-ground specialised advice and support, including through ongoing case management, for as long as necessary. This helps these women to regain their independence and freedom - physically, emotionally, practically and financially.
